Elaboration of a harmonised European standard for CO detectors under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011

Regulation (EU) 305/2011 requires:
• elaboration of harmonised European standards after a
request (mandate) from the Commission,
• all EU Member States implement the harmonised
European standards by approximating their national
regulations,
• CE marking is affixed by manufacturer on construction
products in line with these harmonised ENs,
• use of the hEN by all actors (regulators, engineers
producers, contractors) in a “common European technical
language”
