PROGRAM: Tuesday November 14th

2a. Workshop Electrical Safety and deployment of heat pumps, photovoltaic panels and charging points in buildings

Onsite from 09h15 – 12h45 (CET) (followed by a networking lunch)

To achieve decarbonization objectives, electrification technologies such as heat pumps (HPs), photovoltaic panels (PVs) and charging points for electric vehicles (EVs) will be massively deployed in buildings. Electrical safety is a necessary precondition. Representatives from the EU Commission and the EU Parliament will explain how REPowerEU, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the Heat Pump Action Plan will boost the deployment of these electrification technologies and discuss with fire safety experts how the EU can support Member States in adequately considering the safety aspects. FEEDS will present new factsheets developed with the sector of HP, PV, and EV charging for safe electrification and different representatives from the value chain will discuss their role to ensure electrical safety and a successful deployment of electrification technologies.

The workshop moderated by Theresa Griffin (FEEDS Chair) will take place in person in Brussels at the L42 business center and be followed by a networking lunch.

This workshop is organised by FEEDS (Forum of European Electrical Domestic Safety).

Location: L42 Business Center, Brussels
Maximum participants: 100 (participation to be confirmed by the organisers)

Detailed information will follow soon.

2b. Workshop on (renewing) fire safety action plan

Onsite from 13h45 – 17h30 (CET) (including networking drink at the end)

After the first European Fire Safety Week in 2019, we introduced in 2020 the European Fire Safety Action Plan. In this workshop, we look back at results and present ideas to renew the action plan. We present a draft of the renewed action plan and will discuss this with the participants of the workshop. We will use this input to finalize the renewed action plan. So join this workshop to influence the renewed action plan!
